Efficient-Drive
The Efficient-Drive platform, consisting of three dynamic engine dynos, aims to develop and evaluate on speed cycle, advanced automatic tools related to the control of gasoline and/or hybrid combustion engines.
.General presentation
The emulation of a complete road law is made possible by the control of the load machine, coupled to the crankshaft via an in-line torquemeter.
A first instrumented engine test bench, equipped with an open ECU, is specifically dedicated to the development of control laws for internal combustion engines, as well as advanced diagnostic tools.
The second engine test bench, meanwhile, embeds a VALEO light hybridization with a third-generation BSG144 starter-alternator, powered by a supercapacitor pack. It is used to study hybrid powertrains and validate the energy management laws determined by optimization tools.
The third engine test bench, based on a six-cylinder petrol engine, has been designed to address the issues involved in converting heat lost in exhaust gases into electricity (coupling internal combustion engine with external combustion Stirling engine).
Later equipped with a flow-modulated Hydrogen distribution system, Efficient-Drive now makes it possible to develop piloting strategies, based on gasoline/H2 bi-fueling.
