Fault detection, reconfiguration and fault-tolerant control of multi-agent systems
Multi-agent systems (MAS) have attracted a lot of attention since the previous decade due to their wide range of applications. Indeed, connected SMAs are deployed to achieve a more complex goal that might not otherwise be achievable by a single agent.
In distributed approaches, agents have to share information with their neighbors, which are then used for control and fault detection purposes, and therefore require no central monitoring unit. This translates into the need to develop distributed algorithms that are efficient in terms of robustness and safety. Indeed, the problem of security in cooperating and connected SMAs has arisen as a result of their complexity, the nature of their operations and their exchanges via wireless communication, making them vulnerable not only to physical faults, but also to cyber-attacks. The problem of detecting and isolating attacks and faults in heterogeneous systems connected with directed topologies is studied.
