DRIFT

The main aim of the project is to enable Saverglass to master the control of tooling heat and glass-mold contact in order to innovate in its high-end products and push back the limits of quality, design and productivity. Initially, this will involve the development of a digital tool to accurately predict heat flow on tools, taking into account material grades and surface topography. Once the numerical tool is operational, the aim will be to define strategies for optimizing the thermal balance of molds in response to the diversity of models and design evolutions by exploiting new additive manufacturing techniques. Finally, an approach based on the capitalization of Saverglass know-how will be christened, enabling the integration of business rules when designing new glass product designs.
