PARTir ENsemble Seniors

As part of the Hauts-de-France Region's "Chercheurs-Citoyens" call for projects, the " Partir Ensemble Séniors " (PartEnS) project brings together researchers in Computer Science, Ergonomics, Social Psychology, and Psychology of Aging, as well as professionals from the gerontological sector to combat the sedentariness and isolation of seniors.

The project is based on the observation that many seniors give up going on vacation because they have no one to do it with. PartEnS aims to contribute to ageing well by designing a socio-informatic device facilitating meetings between people with compatible vacation wishes.

Interviews, questionnaires, role-playing and interface testing were carried out with a sample of potential users of the project to obtain a first set of data.

Clustering and pairing/matching techniques are proposed using AI techniques, including SMAs for pairing refinement between seniors.

User feedback on pairing proposals will help refine models and algorithms.
