Efficient and vigilant rail driving

Human-machine interaction for energy-efficient driving

Guided transport driver cabs are becoming increasingly complex and demanding in terms of performance. Drivers therefore require more knowledge and attention. At the same time, operators are keen to increase rail traffic and reduce energy consumption (eco-driving). Drivers are therefore faced with a greater workload, leading to cognitive overload and therefore increased stress.

.

The aim of the project is to increase driver and passenger safety while enabling the addition of new functionalities such as energy-efficient driving.

The project aims to investigate new modes of human-machine interaction facilitating the perception of one's environment, one's own state and minimizing the driver's cognitive resources to be mobilized.
