Study trip to Rotterdam: cultural immersion and enriching discoveries

Three days of cultural and historical discoveries in Rotterdam for Master History students

Rotterdam, a fabulous field of study!

From the historic district of Delfshaven to the windmills of Kinderdijk, 40 students from the Master History, accompanied by Irène Cagneau and Emmanuelle Delattre-Destemberg, enjoyed an enriching experience in Rotterdam.

From the very first day, they discovered the richness of the local heritage through two key activities: a guided tour of the ancient port of Delfshaven and an escape game based on the figure of Erasmus.
The second day was marked by a wide range of cultural activities
. While some explored the Alliance Française and its actions in favor of the French-speaking world, others visited the Museum of Natural History or the Wereldmuseum, where a fun and interactive questionnaire enabled them to discover the cultures of the world.
In the afternoon, we headed for The Hague. In the afternoon, it was off to The Hague for a sunny photo rally to discover the city's emblematic monuments. On the third day, the students visited two major cultural sites: the Kunsthal and the Depot Boijmans Van Beuningen, an innovative museum combining art and architecture. Finally, a visit to the listed Kinderdijk site, with its 19 windmills, rounded off the trip in style. Films, vlogs and stories from the trip can be found on Polarsteps and social networks.

A big well done to our students for their commitment, their curiosity... and their good humor throughout this great project!
