Culinary and tourism integration for our international students
On the day's menu: cooking workshop and city discovery
The Valenciennes IUT's determination to make international openness a strong development focus is part of a long tradition of welcoming and exchanging with foreign university partners.
For this back-to-school getaway, the MiAM cooking workshop was a great success!
Students, chefs for a day, had great fun cooking and tasting recipes made on site with local produce (chicory, beet, maroilles, ...) under the direction of chef Erwan Lamquet!
Small glimpse of their creations ...
- Foie gras toast and beet pickles
- Toast of roasted leeks
- Satay brochette
- Cauliflower velouté with maroilles and mussels
- Apple French toast
- Wonderful
After this culinary apprenticeship, the day continued by panoramic bus, to discover the city's emblematic sites.
The international group really enjoyed this convivial moment, and everyone went home with a kitchen apron as a souvenir of an original experience.
This escapade was organized and accompanied by Isabelle Massa Turpin, director of the IUT, Faïza Vanlaton, director of studies for the international business course in BUT Techniques de Commercialisation, Delphine SINGER, assistant to the IUT's international relations department.
