The Law Clinic
Since the start of the 2021/2022 academic year, the Faculty of Law and Public Administration of the Societies and Humanities Institute has been offering a law clinic to its Bachelor 3 and Master 2 students.
Find all the practical cases in the "Resources" section at the bottom of the page.
What is the "Clinique du Droit"?
The law clinic allows students to learn the law through practical situations by studying real cases, supervised by teacher-researchers and legal professionals. Thanks to this teaching, the students apprehend the law in a concrete way and understand its social and economic implications.
Objective of the Law Clinic
The law clinic allows students to rub shoulders with legal professionals who are involved in this teaching and thus benefit from their experience. Students can thus make valuable contacts with their future recruiters. The legal professionals who participate in the clinic can train their future collaborators in advance to the needs of their professions and also identify them in advance. The law clinic thus allows students and partner professionals to develop their professional network.
Modalities of the Law Clinic
The UPHF Faculty of Law and Public Administration's Law Clinic takes place in two phases during law school. In both cases, students are supervised by teacher-researchers and by legal professionals, partners of the clinic.
- In License 3
. About 20 selected students form a legal watch center in civil law, business law and public law for other students and partner professionals. They select important news, summarize it on a dedicated website and make public presentations to their colleagues and partners of the law clinic. - In master 2
. The law clinic is mandatory for all students. They work on concrete cases brought by the partners of the law clinic in order to propose a state of positive law and jurisprudence on the problems raised by the case and identify the options that can be chosen. The whole is the subject of a presentation to the clinic partner and the delivery of a summary file.
