[EXHIBITION] HAYASTAN by Kristine Gabrielyan
The Hayastan exhibition kicks off this Monday, January 9, at Les tertiales at Aparté.
Law student, Kristine Gabrielyan is passionate about painting and drawing. It was by watching her mom that Kristine learned to draw.
This exhibition is called "Hayastan" (in Armenian Հայաստան) which translates to Armenia. Kristine is Armenian and has been in France for more than 10 years.This collection, which encompasses symbols and views of Armenia, is a way to share her culture and present her origins, her country with its landscapes and colors.
Kristine has used mainly colored pencils and oil paint. Some of the titles of the creations are in Armenian but with French letters as the title. For example "Mayr Hayastan" in Armenian Մայր Հայաստան translates to "Mother Armenia".
