Audit Days at IAE Valenciennes
On November 6 and 7, KPMG Valenciennes and IAE Valenciennes consolidated their partnership at the Journées de l'Audit.
Two days at the heart of auditing with KPMG
The Journées de l'Audit, held at IAE Valenciennes, once again strengthened the ties between the institute and its long-standing partner, KPMG Valenciennes.
Over the two days, students in the Licence 3 Comptabilité Contrôle Audit (CCA) program were invited to work on real-life professional situations, specially designed by the KPMG Valenciennes team. These scenarios offered students a realistic immersion in the missions and challenges of the auditor's profession.
The discussions, both rich and interactive, provided an in-depth look at the fundamentals of auditing, while opening up a reflection on career prospects, recruitment methods and the firm's values.
The IAE Valenciennes extends its sincerest thanks to the KPMG speakers for the quality of their presentations and for the availability they demonstrated throughout the event:
- Alicia Ziolkowski and Christophe Carlier for their support and commitment to our students,
- Axel Lefebvre and Maximilien Leclercq for their dynamic facilitation of the two days,
- and to Anne-Laurie Richard for her invaluable coordination.
This collaboration fully illustrates the shared desire to bring the academic and professional worlds closer together, in the service of the training and employability of future accounting and auditing experts.
Aurélie Dhinnin, étudiante en Licence 3 Comptabilité Contrôle Audit (CCA)What better way to end your week than in the company of a Big Four company when you've trained in accounting, control and auditing? I found these two days with KPMG particularly enriching and instructive. The speakers were accessible, friendly and very educational. The discussions with them gave me a better understanding of the auditing profession, the issues involved and the realities in the field, while at the same time answering some of my personal questions. I really enjoyed the experience and it aroused my curiosity. It gave me a more concrete vision of my professional project. I'd like to thank KPMG for their contribution and IAE Valenciennes for this wonderful opportunity!
Véronique Pocquet, responsable pédagogique de la Licence 3 Comptabilité Contrôle Audit (CCA)This collaboration with KPMG Valenciennes is fully in line with our desire to anchor our training in the reality of the auditing and consulting professions.
The approach proposed by the KPMG teams, based on case studies and real-life situations, proved to be both innovative and particularly effective in helping our students understand the challenges of the auditing profession. They were able to mobilize their knowledge, develop their analytical skills and confront issues close to those encountered in the corporate world.
We needed an intervention that really involved the students, pushing them to reflect, exchange ideas and position themselves in the face of complex professional situations. This objective was largely achieved thanks to the involvement of Axel Lefebvre and Maximilien Leclercq, facilitators and designers of the materials.
Beyond the educational aspect, these days offered our students a concrete vision of their future work environment.
Many thanks to KPMG Valenciennes and all the speakers for their commitment, their availability and the quality of their exchanges with our students.
Pr. Karim Hebbar, directeur de l’IAE Valenciennes - École Universitaire de ManagementWith the Journées de l'Audit on November 6 and 7, 2025, the IAE Valenciennes - École Universitaire de Management reaffirms its solid partnership with KPMG Valenciennes, in the service of training rooted in the reality of the business.
We would like to thank the KPMG teams for their demanding role-playing exercises, which plunge our L3 CCA students right into the heart of the auditing profession.
This collaboration illustrates our determination to bring the academic and professional worlds closer together, to ensure the employability of our graduates.
Bravo to our students for their commitment, and gratitude to our partners for their availability.
Axel Lefebvre, manager AUDIT - KPMG ValenciennesWorking with IAE Valenciennes on this auditing project was a very rewarding experience. The students in the L3 CCA course, from which I myself come, showed a real ability to adapt and a marked interest in the challenges of the profession. This partnership is a perfect illustration of the synergy between academic training and professional practice.
Maximilien Leclercq, supervisor - KPMG ValenciennesThis intervention confronted the students with concrete audit issues and stimulated their critical thinking. Their commitment and pertinent questions enriched the debate and gave the case study its full value. Many thanks to the students for their active participation, and to the teaching staff for the hospitality and coordination that made this experience possible.
