Writings and visions of heritage
Rethinking heritage as future-oriented memory
Spring 2023 to autumn 2025
Director : Nathalie Watteyne
The Écriture & Visions du Patrimoine axis gathers, transcribes and highlights the narratives and life stories that make up the Porte du Hainaut region's short and long history, from the Middle Ages to the present day. The creative valorization of the historical, sociological, linguistic and artistic research carried out in this area helps to create the heritage of tomorrow. Innovative educational vignettes, digital tools for virtual travel and creative writing workshops mobilize, alongside researchers, the territory's driving forces - craftsmen, cultural and educational workers, people from the business world, artists and residents - to reinvent the collective imagination.
