REGVIL
Regenerating the city : Urban experiments and innovations for the co-construction of a collaborative, creative and sustainable city.
Project presentation
Based on their experience in the Valenciennes area and their interactions with local stakeholders (Communauté d'agglomération Valenciennes Métropole, Région HDF, Technopole Transalley, Communauté d'agglomération CAPH, CCI, Rev3, Serre numérique, PICTANOVO, Associations du Valenciennois, Communautés d'entrepreneurs etc.), the project coordinators for the "Valenciennes Métropole" project have been able to draw on the expertise of their local partners.), the seminar's project coordinators propose to mobilize in an integrative perspective, the systemic, collaborative, social innovation and creativity approaches that enable us to meet the societal challenge of the sustainable city. By sustainable we mean both aspects linked to the twin transitions (green and digital) and aspects linked to the co-construction of public action and shared social responsibilities.
We propose to explore the avenues of research relating to the regeneration of the city by questioning in particular the roles of actors involved in collaborative urban devices (experts, public managers, artists, engineers, craftsmen, shopkeepers, entrepreneurs, citizens, makers etc.), the organizational forms supporting collective action (Technopôle, creative clusters, interface structures, civil society organizations, hybrid organizations, collaborative platforms etc.) and the collaborative modes likely to be initiated (experiments, social and societal innovations, collaborative governance, participatory budgeting, instrument of public action etc.)
.The seminar cycle will have the particularity of addressing an interdisciplinary research community on the one hand, and local economic players and master's students on the other. To this end, the classic seminar format will be enriched by more innovative forms of presenting work and issues in the sense of performative experiments : leading controversies, foresight factory, creativity workshop (design thinking), in situ visits etc. It's also a question of promoting participative techniques to develop science/society interactions.
