The Observatory of Public Ethics organizes every year, for three years, in partnership with the Polytechnic University of Hauts-de-France, a large gathering called "LES ASSISES DE L'ÉTHIQUE PUBLIQUE LOCALE". These meetings should allow for a cross-fertilization of views between actors - elected officials, public officials and agents, institutions - and academics. The aim is to establish, for two to three days, a sharing of experiences and ideas, within the framework of thematic round tables bringing together regional, departmental, inter-municipal and municipal elected officials, associations of elected officials, civil servants and territorial collaborators, members of regional audit chambers, agents of the High Authority for the Transparency of Public Life, members of parliament and members of the Government around themes related to the transparency and ethics of local public life.

The first day will feature feedback and roundtable discussions on topics such as the lifestyle of local elected officials or criminal risk.

The second day will be devoted to exchanges on "the right tools" with three round tables, first, on the ethics charter and risk mapping, then on conflicts of interest and the system of deportations, and finally on alert and reporting mechanisms.
