Speaker: Romuald FONKOUA - Professor of French Literature at the Faculty of Letters, Sorbonne University

Presentation: During the second half of the 20th century, encounters between several avant-garde painters - Picasso, Lam, and Chagall, among others - and Negro poets were so intense that the works of the latter were illustrated by the paintings of the former, while the paintings of the latter were commented on by the poetic or critical writings of the latter.
