With the IUT, set yourself a GOAL!

🎯 Cordées de la réussite: a great initiative to promote access to higher education, encourage scientific curiosity and spark vocations

As part of the dispositif national des Cordées , the IUT opened its doors to middle and high school students on the Mont Houy (Aulnoy-lez-Valenciennes) and Maubeuge campuses:

• 3rd grade classes from collèges Vauban (Maubeuge), Marie Curie (Saint Amand les Eaux), Josquin des Prés (Condé-sur-Escaut), Jean Moulin (Wallers), Félicien Joly (Fresnes-sur-Escaut).
• 2nde classes from the André Lurçat & Pierre Forest lycées in Maubeuge and the Camille Claudel lycée in Fourmies.
• 1st and final year classes at Lycée des Nerviens in Bavay.

The varied program aroused the interest of the students enrolled in the action

All day, our students from the GIM, GMP, INFO, MP departments, accompanied the students, shared their experience and guided them in their reflections on the future.

• Presentation of training courses.
• Retrogaming and programming workshop.
• Quizzes in electricity, mechanics, optics and chemistry.
• Sensors and industry 4.0 workshops.
• Automation workshops.
• Discovering the core business in mechanical design and industrialization engineering.
• Visit an exhibition on biomimicry at the IMTD.

These days were rich in discoveries, exchanges and inspiration for these students in search of direction!
