The CERAMATHS mathematics department seminar will welcome Jean-Baptiste Bellet (Institut Élie Cartan, Université de Lorraine) at 2pm, Friday (exceptionally) March 29, 2014, for the following talk:
Mathematical and numerical aspects of Radon transformations, with application in three-dimensional optical imaging
This talk focuses on Radon-like transformations. Initially, we present methods for three-dimensional reconstruction in optical imaging using such transformations. Theoretical arguments, algorithms and numerical results are presented. In particular, we show how the extension of the Radon transformation to distributions models Lambertian scattering. In a second step, we present a numerical computation scheme for the spherical Radon transform, obtained by approximating Cubed Sphere data in a spherical harmonic space.
