The CERAMATHS Mathematics Department seminar will welcome Emmanuelle Crépeau (Université Grenoble-Alpes) at 2pm on Thursday, February 1, 2014, for the following talk:
.Some stabilization results for Korteweg-de Vries equations with delay
In this talk, I will present exponential stabilization results for the nonlinear Korteweg-de Vries equation with delay terms. This study will be done on a bounded interval and on a tree-like network.
In a first step, the stability proof will be obtained with Lyapunov-type techniques but under constraint on the size of the spatial domain. This result will be extended to larger domains with a proof of observability inequality type. We will see the advantages and disadvantages of each of these methods.
Numerical illustrations will complete the talk. This work was carried out with L. Baudouin, J. Valein for the part on an interval and with C. Prieur and H. Parada for the network.
