Parcoursup is the national platform for pre-registration to the first year of higher education in France
.Who is affected by Parcoursup?
High school and university students undergoing reorientation
High school students preparing their baccalaureate or students, already holders of the baccalaureate who wish to enroll in the first year of higher education in France must compile a file and apply via Parcoursup.
This does not apply to:
- students repeating their first year: they must re-apply directly to their institution;
- international applicants from outside the European Union, subject to a prior admission request (DAP) for access to university courses, or who are neither high school nor university students;
- applicants who only wish to apply to higher education courses located abroad: they should apply directly to the courses they are interested in;
- students who wish to return to the course in which they were enrolled at the end of their gap year: they have a right to reinstatement or re-enrolment at the end of their gap year.
Candidates returning to school
People who have already held a baccalaureate or equivalent qualification for several years, and who wish to take part in a promotion, retraining or resumption of professional activity, are more appropriately dealt with by continuing education players. They register directly with the training establishment offering continuing education courses.

How to register and make your wishes on Parcoursup?
You can start registering and making your wishes from January 15, 2025. The process is simple, and we'll tell you all you need to know.
The elements required to create a candidate file
To create a candidate file, you must first create a Parcoursup account if you haven't already done so.
If you are a high school senior preparing for the baccalauréat in France, a message will be sent to you, on your email address registered at the lycée, shortly before the registration phase opens to activate their Parcoursup account.
The message will contain a personal access link. This is a measure taken to secure access to personal data.
If you were already registered on Parcoursup in 2024, your logins are no longer valid. To retrieve your file, you must re-register using the same INE and email address as in 2024.

- an email address that you use regularly, as Parcoursup teams will often be exchanging with you;
- your national student ID.
